Coats of Arms in Norway are only for Royality and shields for Kommunes or governmental bodies.

The peasant class in Norway identified their property by Bumerke marks. I recommend you do some historical research on Norwegian history and such.

There are alot of companies out there selling made-up, imaginary Coats of Arms for people who would never qualify in the old days, these are just ego trips and are meanless.

However, if you go back enough, and I mean really far back, everyone is related to royality in some way. It is being a direct, inheriting descendant that is important.
