I wonder if anyone know anything about Olaf Knutsen Storerui and Gunvor knutsdatter Storerui. They emigrated with Rjukan 1869, but I have not been able to follow them in USA. I think Olaf was born in 1851 and Gunvor in 1841, both in Fyresdal.
Thanks!

There appear to have been families using Storerud and Storerue names in the area of Walsh County, North Dakota. Postings online in recent years indicate that these families also have used Knutson/Knudson names and claim to have come from Fyrisdal and/or Moland areas of Norway.
Several of the persons posting in the thread seem quite confused and may not be useful to your search - but the entire thread might contain a clue to get started.

The link you refer to is about the same family but not the same people. I have good contact with them in US and visited them and they us in Norway. I am very glad about that.

But I have sevreal who is unknown in America, they emigrted at almost the same time but I cann't find any tace o them.
It is first Kjetil Knutson Snarteland b 1807 and his wife Gunhild Kjetilsdtr Taraldlien b 1804, children Signe, Gunhild, Knut and Kjetil, all emigrated in 1846 on Ancona.

Guro Kjetilsdtr Snarteland Spokkeli b 1844 emigrated 1866, Signe Snarteland, b 1833 Emigrated 1870.

and then ofcourse Olaf and Gunvor
