Johannes Olsen Fristad
is listed as an "overkonstabel" in the 1900 Bergen census.
I have a picture of him in his uniform. Spiffy...

Would anyone have any ideas of where to find more information about Bergen Police records at that time?

You may have more luck posting an inquiry on the Debate Forums on Digitalarkivet, you can post in English. The Berlin Police websites are all in Norwegian but maybe they have a historical society or museum with information.
