Hello: My wife, who is a descendant of the Nordgaard family, and I, will be in Oslo later this month, We want to visit the Hurdal area and find out what we can about the family's origins. Is there a local history museum there, or a library that might have pictures, land ownership records, or local census information? What are the hours of service?

Hurdal seems to be immediately north of the Gandermoen Airport. We hope there is bus or train service between the two, or from Oslo.

Thanks for any assistance. Douglas & Karel Whitaker

I think I can help you with some Nordgaard information and also give you an e-mail address of someone with even more information. I've been to Hurdal twice, too. Write me off-list if you're interested. verlajeana@aol.com
