Hei, I know from the digitalarkivet that my g-grandmother and her children left Kristiana April 3, 1912 on the Oslo for Hull England en route to Canada. My grandmother celebrated her 10th birthday (April 12) on board the ship (the day the Titanic went down right?). And I've checked the Canadian passenger lists 1865-1922 to no avail. There seems to be no ships arriving in April 1912 at all which seems extremely odd to me. I know they made it here! Does anyone know if it would be common for the voyage to take so long? Or does anyone have access to search British departures? I have also emailed genealogy.gc.ca asking why there are no April arrivals on the east coast. If anyone's had a similar problem I'd be interested in hearing about it.

Thanks, Fern in Kelowna BC Canada

Oh never mind...just had one more look in Ancestry and, in a brand-new database, found them arriving in Portland Maine!! Who would have thought...
