I've no information on my ggrandmother other than she was born in 1872 and possibly in Trondhjem. Does anyone have a link that I could follow?

There are records of one Bertha Grande from Levanger, who emigrated to her husband Ole Grande in Minneapolis, Mn on 30-Apr-1904, together with her kids Olaf B. (9) and Nelli (4)

Is that your Bertha?

But reading your other topic, your Bertha probably married Anton Moe Ellefsen...

This could be a strong possibility:

Beret B. Grande (17) from Ørlandet, headed for New York on July 16th, 1890.

Ørlandet is just outside Anthon's farm Einbakken.

Berith Brodersdr Grande is born on July 14th, 1872, christened Sep 30th 1872, confirmed Sep 25th 1887. Parents Broder Larsen & Berith Rasmusdatter, Grande
Census-1865

Is this the Bertha you are looking for?

I found Bertha M Grande and Ole Grande with children Olaf Grande and Nellie Grande on 1910 US Federal Sensus in Velva Ward 1, McHenry, North Dakota. Ole is about 36 yrs, Immigrated 1904 and is a stone mason. Bertha M Grande , born about 1870, immigrated 1905. Olaf Grande, born Norway, about 15 yrs old. Nellie Grande, born Norway, about 11 yrs. old.
Olaf Grande and Nellie Grande immigrated same time as Bertha M Grande. Ole Grande is a stone mason.
1920 census has Ole Grande (incorrect spelling as Granda), age about 46, born Norway, Immigration 1903, boarder at John Michalson. He is now widowed. He is a partner in concrete worker.

1920 census has Olaf Grande, about age 25 at Turner, Blaine Co, Montana. He is a boarder at Oscar G Haugen.
1920 census has Nellie Larson, age about 20, wife of Erils (typo error; should be Erick) Larson. Living at Great Falls Ward 2, Cascade, Montana. Children Melvin L Larson, age
about 1 11/12 and Clara Larson, age about 10/12.
1930 census, Nellie and Erick Larson living at Whitefish,, Flathead, Montana. Children are Melben (should be Melvin), Clara and Ernest Larson. Ernest is about 9 years.

Unfortunately, ryc_lyden never got back on the replies he got about his ggrandmother.

But this Bertha Grande from Levanger (with husb. Ole Grande and children Olaf and Nellie) can't be the right one.

Mr Lyden had another query about one Anton Moe Ellefsen, and I believe Bertha married him, and that she's from the Grande farm on Ørlandet, Sør-Trøndelag.
