Hi, I am distantly related to a king of Norway Denmark, though I don't remember his number.
This comes through my relationship to the Severson line.
I do know he was married twice. One these marriages was to the daughter of George 2 of England.
He also has a lover, my side of the line.
He only lived some 40 years, but fathered some 24 children.

Fredrik 5. 1723-66 of Denmark-Norway married the daughter of Georg 2. of Great Britain , Louise 1724-51. Fredrik then married a German princess, Juliane Marie. His mistress was Madame Else Hansen which he got 5 children with.

Hi, This may be a naive question, but I know that Prince Phillip of England is a Prince of Denmark and Greece. How does he fit into the picture?

Look for webpages devoted to Royal Genealogies - I'm sure you'll find much information about both Frederick and Phillip. Whether or not you can tie them together in any way should be your task.

Hi, While I am quite cognitive this is a Norweigen board, I have done the research.
It would seem that at this time all of Europe was a family.

I am sure a simple Google search would bring up many sites with information. If you go back far enough, everyone
is related to royalty.

You previously stated that you have descendancy from 'a king of Norway Denmark'. What was the name of the child of that King that you descend from? Male? Female?

Hopkins, First of all many thanks for your help. Yes, by virtue of my grandmother, Mathilda Severson, I am part Norweigen.
To answer your question: The first relative in that side of the line is a person by the name of Eirik Olsen Kjelven.
As you probably know the Norweigen language has a habit of reinventing itself when it comes to names.

Variations in name spellings, even in Norway, are NOT likely to change a name from Eirik Olsen Kjelven from what your friend Jeff lists as "Elise? Ester? Fredriksdatter".
Contact Jeff T. Severson - he should be able to provide you information about the sources for the information he has posted online.

Hi, Jeff is actually a shorttail relation to me. His name is Eirik Olsen kjelven. He lived from 1661 to 1719. Jeff has spent years doing geanology of our family.

King Fredrick V of Denmark wasn't even born until 1720. He can NOT be the father of Eirik Olsen Kjelven born in 1660 or 1661 in Norway.

Whether ''shorttail" or shirttail relative - contact Jeff again. He posted your descendancy from Fredrick the 5th online -- link to that given above.

Hopkins, Please forgive me. I gave info that while was pertinent, was not relavent to the matter at hand.
Actually I should had looked at the provided link and realized that Elise or Ester Fredriksdatter who died in 1746 should had been the woman to be considered.
