We can't see it! Therefore cannot make any guess.
Find a webpage to post the image of the paper(s) to. Get a really good scan done and post that image to the webpage. Then post the URL address of the webpage here so that we and others can also look at what the papers say.

(Don't type in all CAPS. That is considered to be yelling on the Internet and is therefore a bit rude.)

Hopkins,
Please keep in mind that 'all caps' are sometimes used to make clear the known spelling of a word or phrase, as I believe was Conwill's intended use.
So, I believe there is room for some flexibility.
Have a nice day!

The original posting was entirely in caps and was later edited by the original poster to appear in the fashion that you now see it. After editing the posting can be construed in the manner you have chosen, but before the poster's editing that was not the case.

Maybe this situation is best handled by the WEB ADMINISTRATOR. It is also not in the Posting Guidelines so how are new, inexperienced posters supposed to know everthing?

I know Børge asked for someone to take over the WA job and no one stepped up to the plate.

I feel if a person should be contacted offlist if one feels such a need to communicate (and also be able to be contacted offlist).

Hi All,

This seems to be a controversial topic. I would like to point out some experience I have with this. Many people use caps because of 1) poor eye sight, 2) age, and 3) inexperience with typing or computers. I think most of us would assume that someone asking for help, isn't trying to yell at us. My Mother and her friends all used caps, because of the reasons that I mentioned and I just got use to it. Imagine if you don't know how to type, by using all caps they are able to type a question or answer, in a shorter amount of time. If it sounds like someone is trying to be mean, then I think the Web Administrator should monitor the situation, but a person doesn't have to use caps to be mean to someone, and that should be monitored too!

Just my opinion, but these people are trying to get help, not yell.

Take care, Wanda

ABSOLUTELY NO NEED FOR YOU TO APOLOGIZE. This is not in the Posting Guidelines and is up to the Web Administrator to manage the content and form of the site. This is a Forum for Norwegian passenger lists and research, not a Forum on the minutia of Internet etiquette or poster's individual opinions. Such comments, if at all necessary, should be transmitted privately AND politely OFFLIST.
