There are links on this site for Norwegian Dictionaries, this is the best one I have found for translating older records:

Is this the Elias Johnson - born in Fredrikstad? from another thread?
Please tell us which census this info is taken from - there are several farms Narverud.

You started this thread with
"need some help with translation from cencus
Elias johnson Sverige 1822
farm name NARVEROD
occupation Dargerbieder any help would be great"
Could you please tell which census this is taken from if it is different than what Hopkins found.
July 2 you ask for
"I am looking for any help my GGG Grandfather was born abt 1858 fredrikstad NORWAY
Mothers name on marriage certificate Catherine jonson
fathers name John Wilhelme Nicholson"
Is this information from the marriage record or from some other document?

This topic is being discussed in two separate postings and is extremely confusing.
