Engebret Hanson, b: ca 1845, Kongsvinger, Norway, m. to
Olea Olsdt., Kongsv., b: 1846.

Kids:

Randine, b: 1868 (Kongsvinger)
Ole, b: 1870 (Kongsvinger)
Edvard b: 1875 (Kongsvinger)
Hans, b: 1878 (Kongsvinger)
Anton, b: 1882 (Kongsvinger)

I mean the father Engebret Hanson (Hansen) emigr. 25. march1881 w. the ship Angelo to New York.

His wife and the kids emigr. 15. june 1882 w. the ship Geiser to New York.

Where did the live after they emigrated?

Engebret had brothers and sisters in SD, ND and IOWA.

Do some know about them?

What database did you find them moving out? It may give clues on their final destination. Can you provide links?

Knowing the childrens names and ages would help finding them in later census. The first Federal census available would be 1900.

Thak you very much for the help!
And you "Hopkins" put in the links about Olea/kids, thank you!
I'm not sure how I can put in links.

The link about Engebret I will try to put in, but I'm not sure he is the right Engebret, but Engebret was'nt usually name here, so I mean he is the right person.

After they emigr. to USA, he can have changed Engebret to another name, because his name was so long.
Engebret is the same name as: Ingebret, Ingbret, Engbret, Engelbret, Embret.

I have looked for different census, but cant find them.
Some of Engebret's sisters and brothers lived in Buffalo, Minnehaha, SD, / some in Hatton, ND. / Lowland, Mountain co, ND, / Baden, Ward co, ND, / Sask. CAN, but they I have info about.

I can't understand where Engebret took the way!

Hello again!

I've found some wrong in the ancestor-book for Kongsvinger about Engebret Hanson. He was not a brother of the sisters/brothers in SD/ND and CAN. My g-grandmother was their sister.

In the book:

Tekstebakken (little farm in Vinger (Kongsvinger)
Hans Eriksen Duelien, father
Maren Olsdt. Hellerud, mother
kids:

Karen, b: 1843 to SD.
Engebret, b: 1845 (Hans and Maren did'nt have a son Engebret, wrong in the book).
Olia, b: 1846 to USA
Maria, b: 1849, to ND.
Ole, b: 1851, to SD.
Hans, b: 1854, to Hatton, ND.
Erik, b: 1856, to ND.
Andreas, b: 1859, lived in Norway
Karelius, b: 1862, to USA
Sigvart, b: 1864, to Sask., CAN.
Andrea, b: 1868, my great-grandmother, lived in Norway.

(I've info about all this kids without Olia and Ole, and I will make a new topic for them.)

The parents Hans Eriksen and Maren Olsdt. moved to a farm Tomteberget north in Vinger around 1870, and then did Engebret Hansen and his wife Olea Olsdt. move from a farm Nordseth in Vinger to Tekstebakken. And it's right that they emigr. to USA, but they was'nt of my relatives, so it's no idea for me to find more about them.
