I'm searching for information about the first wife of Tore Toresen Kolstø, a ship's carpenter from Avaldsnæs, Rogaland. I have not been able to find a record of this first marriage in Norway, but when Tore married a second time, 23 October, 1898 at Haugesund, Karmøy, the record states that "his first wife died in Sydney, Australia 1880".

I'd be grateful for any help delving into Sydney death records, assuming, of course, that her death was actually reported there, and that it was logged using the surname Toresen (or Thorsen), or Kolstø.

Thanks for your help.

Best, JK
