Yarmouth Herald [Thursday] 8 May 1873 - Norwegian barque Bertha - The barque Bertha, [Capt.] Hansen, which arrived at this port [Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada] on Monday morning last [5th] from Liverpool, G.B., when in lat. 43.34, long. 64.21, about 2 o'clock in the morning of 30th ult., was run into by a schooner, striking her on the port side between the main and mizzen rigging, causing considerable damage. On the 3rd inst., one of the crew, named Kittle Kittleson, fell from the upper foretopmast yard, causing his death. His remains were kept on board until the arrival of the Bertha here, when they were interred in the Mountain Cemetery.
