Nicole -- i am daughter of Clifford Gangestad, brother to Henry Gangestad. Henry and Carrie lived in Farimont, Mn. We lived on the "home place" farm near Halfa, (Armstrong) Iowa where Sam and Julia farmed originally. I never met Sam but did visit Grandma Julia in Farimont. I have some information I, too, have been gathering.

The record for Jens Severin, born Sept 9 1866 is #13.
His parents were farmer Hans Andreasen, Gangestad and wife Johanne Sophie Nicolaisdatter.
The 1865 census shows that Jens Severin had 5 brothers.
Helene Eriksdatter (last record) was Hans Andreasens mother.

When the family left for "Amerika" the last son was Ole Christian (b Jan 5 1870), see #3.
