This is what I know about Severine:

Severine was born in Norway April 12 1870 on a place called Banken.,her parents was Engebret Mikkelsen and Kiersti Hansdatter.
Her birth name name was Syverine.
She left Hadeland and Banken 1888 and her destination was America.
In the emigrations record it says that she left Oslo June 29 1888 and her destination was New York,she left with Angelo.
The emigration record has registered her name as Severine I.Brandbo,but I`m not sure that this is the right name.
I want information about when she came to America and if she got married and had children.
Anyone who want to help me.

Have a nice day

Hi Mette;

are you sure she was born on April 12th?? Or was she baptized that date??

I'm asking *cause the 1900 Census shows birth month and year, probablt she was married when the US Census 1900 was taken and then we have to search on given name, year of birth and year of imigration.

The ship's manifest for S/S Hekla indicates Eline was going to Argyle, Wisconsin.

Yes Lester;

Just to let you know - if you also should find this one:

I found a Severeine Bakken who married 1905, I found her husband and I traced them all the way to 1930. She had the right name and age but in many sources she was noted to imigrate 1903.....
WRONG TRACK: Look here: Oslo 6536 1903 07 Severine Bakken f u 33 Stange Wisconsin 3335 Norge Prp Helleg Olaf

We'll have to keep on looking.

(nice weather at Toten, Oppland CO, Norway today!)

Hello everyone....

Yes I did know that Severines sister had emigrated,there a lot of family members that have emigrated to this family.
Most of them I found in Wisconsin but there is some of the family members I don`t find.
If there are someone who wants to help me with Eline too I`m very grateful for that....
Severine and Eline are two of the family members I`ve trouble to find,so I`m very grateful for all information I get .
I have all information about them when they lived in Norway.
I know that Eline came to New York May 29th 1891,and the ship was Hekla,but there stops all information about her.
About Severine I`ve given all information I have,so I don`t know when she came to New York,and where she did go,and if she did get married and had children.
You people are very clever to help me and I`m very grateful for that....
It`s a sunny morning here in Hadeland today
Have a nice day

Eline should have a separate forum posting. But since her name been mentioned here........

I found a marriage posting for an Eline Ingebretson under Wisconsin marriages. She married 26 April 1893 in Dunn County. Volume 2, page 0287.

No other free information was available.
