I'd appreciate a little advice. I'm trying to help someone but I can't explain something.
I'm stumped. I'm looking at a page of baptisms from 1839 in Tune, Østfold. Entries for the second record and on down the page in the column for recording "ægte eller uægte" all start with what appears to be the spelling "Lige....." something.
What are they writing in that column?

It says "Ligesaa af Thunøe" or "Ligesaa af Varteig" - "Ligesaa" means the same as above, in other words "Ægte" as the top recording, "af Thunøe" and "af Varteig" means in Tune and in Varteig the two parishes - after 1860 Varteig has its own registers.
