Looks like I may have found him in the 1900 census for Soler, Roseau, Minnesota. The one I found was born Oct 1860 and emigrated in 1882 and occupation is listed as farmer. He was still single.
I found a Minnesota death record for him....death 10 Aug 1913 in Roseau County. |

I've been looking for him in immigration and census', and the only other place I can find him is in the 1905 census for Soler, MN, and he is still single. I don't know why I can't find him in the 1910 census.
Did he have family that emigrated also? There is a Richard O Flaten b 1869 Norway and emigrated around 1885 in Soler, MN. Just wondering. |

[He was alone when he emigrated. I am not familiar with Richard Flaten, but I just resently started to look for ancesters, so I might have missed him in my search. I`ll look deeper into the search for Richard though. Thankyou so much for your help. Lise |

I don't know if he's related or not, I just happened to find Richard in the same city and state as Oluf. I'm sorry I couldn't find any other info on Oluf. If he died in 1913, I should be able to find him in the 1910 census, but I can't. I'll keep looking tho, because, you never know, he may have married after 1905. |

Do any of these names sound like they might be part of your family? I found an Emma and Olga Flaten, living with their married sister, Agnes Flaten Kolberg.
In the 1910 US Census for Minnesota, Roseau County, Soler township.
Kolberg, Ingva(?) P., head, married, age 48, married 6 years, born Norway, immigrated 1882, naturalized and he’s a farmer. Kolberg, Agnes, wife, age 20, married 6 years, had 4 children and 3 are still living, born Norway, immigrated 1897. Kolberg, John, Son, 4 years, born Minnesota Kolberg, Clara, Daughter, 3 years, born Minnesota. Kolberg, Anton, Son, 1 ½ years, born Minnesota Flaten, Emma, Sister-in-law, 12 years, born Minnesota Flaten, Olga, Sister-in-law, 15 years, born Norway, immigrated 1897.
