I found 2 more baptism records for who I think is the right people (at least it looks right to me).

The first one is for Berit Marchusdtr christened 7-24-1725. Her father should be Marchus Olsen Andaas. The whole thing looks right....it is the top right hand side page 98.

The next one should be for Ingebrigt Marchusen....same father....same location (Andaas). Christened 2-19-1738. This one looks right too. Bottom left hand side page 82.

I really hope I have this right so I don't put anyone to trouble for nothing


I really appreciate all the help I have gotten here and thank you in advance for any help with this.

You are right, great work:

The first christening: Marcus Olsen Andaas "barn" (child) named Berit
The second christening: Marcus Olsen Andaas "fødte Drengebarn" born male child named Ingelbert/Ingebrigt.

Thank you so much once again for your help!!!

Any chance you could help me with the godparents names? I can get only about 5% of this. I am trying to learn though!!! I was able to make out a little of this based on what you transcribed for me last time. I am learning!!! I am hoping to soon be able to do this on my own.

Some of these letters are hard to understand, even the handwriting is very beatiful written in in Ghotic letteres.

BIG LETTERS-not sure

For Berit: Gabriel Skog, Oluf Olsen Dolstad, Anna JONSdatter Marken, Maren Remmen, Agata Andaas

for Ingelbert/Ingebrigt: Guttorm Engelbrigtsen Andaas, Hans Olsen ??vig-SØRNES, Ole Halsøen, Johanne Olsdr. ibit (same farm), Christianne Jacobsdatter Andaas.

An explanation of the names:
-Dolstad, unic name, unknown origin, Dola/Darod could mean spear.
-Marken means land, ground
-Remmen means long height
-Andaas- Duck ridge
- ??vig means bay and Sørnes means the Southern spit of land.
- Halsøen, øen means island and the farm is located to a small peninsula/toung of land outside the farm Hals in Vefsnfjord.
