Could someone please help me find birth info on Wilhemina (Mina) Olsen born Ullensaker 1867? Parents were possibly Christian Olsen and Martha Olesdatter.
Also the marriage records of Mina and Axel Kristofferson married maybe Ullensaker between 1884 and when their daughter Sigrid was born 1890 in Ullensaker.
They went to America 1892 to Punxsutawney, PA.
Thank you,
Renee-OREGON, USA

Parents and siblings has earlier been covered in this topic
Josefine was a fosterchild in 1875
It looks like Axel left Norway alone in 1893, see here
How do you know that Sigrid was born in Ullensaker in 1890?
Which family name did she use?

The information I have was from Odd Hansen, the family member looking for this family. He sent me the baptism record on Sigrid and it lists Axel and Mina as parents.
I am trying to find the family after they came to America but there is very much confusion on them.
Odd says they were married in Norway but he can't find any info on the record.
Thank you,
Renee

There must be more info than "Sigrid was born 1890 in Ullensaker" in the baptism record - why not share it with us?
Who was the other topic on Josefines family done for?

Josefina Wilhelmine Olsen moved from Ullensaker to Christiania between 1882-1890 because her confirmation was in Hovin church in Ullensker on Oct. 8. 1882 #8

A bit confusing, Sigrids naming.
Could this be the emigration record for Mina, and was Sigrid Hulda changed to Anna and did Mina and Axel get a son Olaf about 6 month before she emigrated, place of living for all three: Ullensaker.
Was it because of that Aksel emigrated on March 12 and she on June 9, dest New York?

Found this with Google:
A. CHRISTOFFERSON DIES SUDDENLY AT HOME HERE
Well Known Driller Succumbed Christmas Morning to Heart Disease, Aged 50 Years Dec. 27, 1921
Death at 9:30 o’clock Christmas morning claimed A. Christofferson, for 29 years a resident of Punxsutawney and one of the city’s most substantial and respected residents.
Although he has been ailing the past six months and unable to work his condition was not regarded as critical and he retired Saturday night apparantly in his usual health. He arose Sunday morning, became suddenly ill and died a short time later.
The deceased was born in Cristiania, Norway, October 14, 1856 and came to America 29 years ago. He located in this city and for a time was engaged in the drilling business as a partner of Jonas Johannsen. He later went into partnership with O.C. Hoffman in the drilling business and for a number of years past had been a trusted and efficient employe of the Punxsutawney Drilling Company.
A kindly, industrious and charitable man, a considerate and loving father those who knew him intimatedly respected him greatly.
He was a member of the First English Lutheran church of this city.
He leaves his widow, three sons, Benjamin, Olaf and Joseph, and one daughter Sigrid, all of this place. He also leaves one brother, William, who made his home with the deceased.
The local aerie of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, of which the deceased was a member, will have charge of services which will be held at the home on Church street Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Rev. C.O. Frank, of the Lutheran church, will be the officiating clergyman. Burial in Circle hill cemetery.
and this
Census 1910 what I have: Pennsylvania - Jefferson - Greater Punxsuatnet Borough - Enumeration District 82 - Sheet Number 11B (image 22/70 hos Ancestry) - 22 Day of April 1910: Steetnam unclear for me: Terrence Street? Axel Christoferson in no 322 and Bennie Christoferson in 326.
At census agent vissit 225 and 226, was vissited right after each other: Axel Christofson was 42 years and married first time for 20 years ago, and wife Mena (Mina) was 40 years. Both first marriage. She had 5 children that all lived. Both borne in Norway by Norwegisan parents.

Thank you both for all of your help. This family is truly confusing. Mina and Axel did have a son Olaf but the Anna is a question for us also. We also wondered if Anne was Sigrid.
I am at a loss as to how to sort this all out and also in finding their marriage record.
Thank you again,
Renee

Google can be a great supplement in genealogy.

I think Anna was a wrongspelling for Sigrid in the emigration record, Montebello was a Wilson line ship, they changed ship in Hull England for New York.
Yes, the wedding records would be a great finding.
Likley they married in Christiania (Oslo) and the records should do to that likley be here (many look ups)

There are people looking for this family for 50 years, are this pages known to you?
Down page is the 1891 census for Paulus local parish in Oslo where Axel, Mina and Randi are mentioned, and questions and information further down are in both English and Norwegian.

It looks like Mina had a sister Ragna, this person is looking for the burial place to Ragnas husband in USA (no name on him), he was his ggrandfather, click here, some information in English.

Thank you Kare,
Yes Mina's sister Ragna married Ben Christofferson and they are buried in Circle Hill Cemetery in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania.
I could not look for marriage record on link you gave as I do not read Norwiegien.
Thank you again

Could Ben Kristoffersen be Bernhard - Axels brother?
Axel, his parents and siblings in 1875
Information can be found saying that Mina was 17 years old when they married - should be 1884 then.
After Axel died she should also have married Olaf Haug.

This should be "Mina" Josefine Wilhelmine Amalia´s parents and siblings in 1865 on Tangensmoen, her father worked with destilation of oil made of wood (hope his profession is understandable). The family including the children used Olsen as last name, see "Merknad" Remarks, normal naming are seen in 5. column.
They were all born in Christiania exept Ragna (and Mina).
Mina was born on Dal Railway staion, in her confirmation record her father was a photographer.

According this topic his ggrandmother was Amanda Christine age 9 (born Oct. 19. 1857) in the 1865 census, she settled down in Trondheim town in Sĝr Trĝndelag county about 1878 and married in Lade church in Trondheim 1883.

A short version from this topic:
They are assuming one of the parents died (liklly the mother Marthe) and the family lost their income when the oil factory turned bankrupty and some of the children became fosterchildren (see 1875 census for Mina in a former posting), Ragna was likely also a fosterchild in 1875, she was born on Flĝgstadeie (Tangermoen) in Ullensaker April 25 and christened Oct. 1. 1865 as Ragna Mathilde.
(Tangemoen was a sub farm under Flĝgstad).

Both Mina and Ragna´s confirmation were in Ullensaker, but the other members of the family returned to Oslo because Amanda Christine´s konfirmation was in Grĝnland church in Oslo 1872, she lived in Galgeberg, #62.
Galgeberg became a part of Oslo in 1878, so the 1875 census for Galgeberg isn´t online

In the topic from yesterday the family was found in USA, let´s hope the owner find this topic and have more information since it was made in 2004.
