The Rodvold name is probably just the same, but no relation?

I know that there were some Rodvolds that went to South Dakota, USA and I was just wondering if they could be descendents of Giskens brother or possibly Gisken's father's brother? Did Gisken's father have any siblings?

I do know it I just don't have it with me right now. I would like to know who her parents were so I can figure out how she ties into this "mess".

John Olsen Svedjan married Mary Rodvald. I believe he came over around 1900 from Meraker.

John Olsen Svedjan (18) emigrated from Meråker on 12 Apr 1899.
Mary Rodvold is born in Minnesota ab. 1886. Possibly Todd county? Her brother Johannas Rodvold lives with them in census-1920. Their parents are Sivert and Mali Rodvold.

Julie Kristiansdatter Bunæs, married a John Rodvald in Osakis, MN around 1905, and died a couple of years later. I am having some trouble finding documentation to support the marriage and John's family.

You have already been given the web page to order her marriage record from Todd County in a different topic. Here is the information again:

TODD MG-383 9/23/1905 RODVOLD, JOHN S JOHNSON, JULIE

I ordered the document, but was hoping someone else might have additional information. This forum has been very helpful in filling in some major gaps.

I live in Todd County Minnesota and am also the one who started this thread. What document are you looking for exactly?

I still haven't received the marriage certificate for John Rodvold and Julie Kristiansdatter Bunæs/Jensen/Johnson. Her name may have been a transcription error.

I am not sure if she married John Rodvold or John Sivertsen Rodvold. I have information on the latter, but want to confirm I have the right person.

Julie died Sep 15 1907 in Gordon, Todd, MN, a couple of years after they were married. She emigrated from Norway in May 1905.
