I am looking for Albert Axelson that departed from Kristiania 18/5 1900 on Montebello for his way to Minnesota.
I can not find any info about his arrival to America, I think that he first went to UK and then on an other boat.
I can not find any record of him in America. Does anyone have any info about him.
He was born 1/9 1879.
He had a brother that also went to America Nils-Oskar Axelson
born 1876, he died there un married 1895.
His fathers and mothers name was Axel and Kristina Nilsson.
He had a sister Carlotta Axelsdotter who married August Hjalmar Gustavsson.

Hello Anne-lie,

Have you tried the Minnesota Historical Society website? You may find a death certificate for him there. There is also a resource in northern Minnesota, www.ironrangeresearchcenter.org

They have resources that the Minnesota Historical Society does not.

Best of Luck,

S Harpold

Ancestry.com has an Albert A. (August) Axelson, b. 20 Jan 1977 (World War I Draft Card) in Sweden, living in Gowrie, Webster, Iowa in 1910, 1915 (Iowa State Census), 1920, and 1930. The immigration date differs on each record, from 1881 to 1883.
