1910 census, superior city, douglas county ,wisconssin
has listing fof Hans Hansen age 28 with wife Nettii,
with 2 children, then hjalmar Haugen age 27 as brother in law.
am trying to figureout who hjalmar is, and connect him with the Hansesn. I didn't find him in Ellis Island search.
I b elieve the last name could be the farm name. Hans(who is Gustav) came from loiten born 1883

Just a few days ago, on the 14th of this month, Gustav Hansen with wife Netti, son Einar, etc. were located in Dane County, Wisconsin for the 1910 US census. He was listed as "Gus Hansen, 28 yrs old". You said that was the correct family.

How do you now find "Hans (who is Gustav)" living in Douglas Co. Wisconsin??? Please explain.

Hjalmar Kristian Haugan b 1882 is from Strinden, Sør Trøndelag (outside Trondheim), and emigrated from Trondheim on August 29th 1907, with the Canadian Line.
He returned to the US from Trondheim (Bergen) also in April 1926. Here he is in census-1900.

to hopkins.
now I see where I am trying to connect the other Hanson family in the 1910 census. I thought with similiar names of wives and immigration period about the same that maybe this was the same family in that territoy and had possilby moved. but now i can
just concentrate on the Dane county family.

I'm glad. I didn't want to argue with you but was worried that you were taking a very wrong turn with the research. Good luck and have fun!
