I would like information (dates, events and names) concerning the family of Knud Simonsen--parents; wife; children. I believe his father was Simon Pedersen.

Knud Simonsen (59) married Anna Knudsdr (45) on 09 Feb 1849, and they had a daughter Martha born 16 Sep 1849 on the Veum farm. Anna Knudsdr's father was Knud Olsen Veum.

Here is Knud Simonsen with parents on the Stundalen farm in census-1801.

Jan, I have that Knud Simonsen married Marthe Rognaldsdatter. They had a daughter Anne Knudsdatter. Am I mistaken? Do you have a copy of the birth registry that you can attach for Anna Knudsdatter?

First of all; you don't have one single reference to a year in your query.
Are you talking about the 18th, 19th, or the 20th century? There might have been several Knud Simonsen's in the area from what I know.... The one I referred to was born around 1790 on the Stundalen farm. He was 59 yo when he married Anna Knudsdr, and he was a widower. So maybe his first wife was Marthe Rognaldsdatter.

I can't read it, of course, but on page 50 #25 of the Stundal? birth registry for 1830, is a reference to the parents of Anna Knudsdatter: father Knud Simonsen and mother: Marthe Rognaldsdatter. Is this the same Knud Simonsen that you referenced? Thanks for helping me. Sorry I didn't give you a better reference.

Martha, born 16 Mar 1833

Knud Simonsen Stundal (35) and Marthe Rognaldsdatter Belle (31) married Nov 12 1823, see #16
Marthe with her parents and siblings in 1801
Knud Simonsen was baptized Nov 1 1789, see 3rd baptism on right hand page
His parents were on Stundal, but his mother was Giertrud Knudsdatter, not Johanna Lassedatter who in 1801 was Simon Pedersens 3rd wife.
Simon Pedersens daughter Gertru was most likely named after Simons 2nd wife, Knuds mother.

Knut Simonsen Stondal/Stundal (1789-1861) was married 3 times and had 11 children. His first wife was Sigrid Larsdatter Loven, the second was Marta Rognaldsdatter Bjelde and the third was widow Anna Knutsdatter Veum. Knut's daughter, Anna (born 1830) married Ole Jensen Vinjum in 1856. They lived for a time at the Hjellum farm, Undredal Parish, Aurland Kommune. Ole, Anna and their 4 children immigrated to America in 1864, and settled in Freeborn County, Minnesota, where they spelled their surname "Winjum."

Knut's father (Simon Pedersen, born at Vangen) was also married 3 times and had 17 children! Knut's mother was Gjertrud Knutsdatter Bjelde.
