Well, I was afraid of that. I hope the two share e-mails I sent with page 9 and page 1 got through to you yesterday. Let me know if they did not. |

Good, I think the easiest way is to go to Historical Records Search page in Ancestry.com. Fill in Helene Ohlsen for name , 1840 in birth year and Norway in birth country. Note the spelling of Ohlsen with the h. Hit the Search button. When I do that she is at the top of page that pops up. The Historical Record is "New York Passenger Lists 1820-1957". Click on See All Information. From that page you can click on See Original Image. It should take you to page 9. Look Middle of lower half page for the family.
An alternative route but more cumbersom is to go to Immigration and Emmigration by clicking on Historical Records More, then New York Passenger Lists under the Immigration and Emmigration Section. The form that pops up allows you to search a lot of ways, including name, with birth year, and arrival year.
Good Luck |

Dealing with e-mails. No,I think your e-mail address works fine. What I am saying is that I sent you three e-mails. One in which I just clicked reply to your e-mail and telling you that I sent you two e-mails through the Ancestry.com . In theory once you have a desired image on your computer screen ie the Original Passenger List, you just click the Share Icon. This allows you to Share the Image With Friends or Family. When you click on that Icon a box pops up with a blank space to enter the e-mail address. I entered yours, clicked send and in theory off it went. If that had worked correctly you should have recieved in your e-mail box the image of the Original Passenger List along with a note from Ancestry.com. It does not sound as if that is what happened. |

Oh yes, in the middle of the short blurb that Ancestry.com sends to you is the statement: "Click here to veiw the actual immigration document of our ancestor". I think if you click there the image of page 9 or page 1 will pop up.
