Has anyone located passenger lists for the SS Angelo? Specifically, her sailings from Oslo to Hull in May and June of 1881.

Hi George,
Have you searched through the emigrantar lists on Digitalarkivet? That may prove to be a bit tedious, but you could do a search for the date "1881" along with a search for the ship "Angelo". You would have to search both the emigrantar lists for Kristiania (Oslo) and Kristianland, since it picked up passengers in both locations before going on to Hull, unless you know which location the person/persons that you are searching for, boarded at.

For Oslo:

For Kristianland it's a little more difficult, because the ship's name is not listed in the emigrantar list, so you would have to look at those departing shortly after the date they departed from Oslo.

If you need help with finding a passenger, you might want to start a new topic with the name of person and what info you are searching for, such as "Ole Olsen immig. from Oslo in 1881". Then in the post, add all the info that you have and what you are hoping to find. You'd have more eyes looking for the immigration records that way.

Good luck!

Wilson Line was the owner of SS Angelo. There are no known passengerlist left from Wilson Line, if there have been any at all. So as Wanda indicate you have to look in the emigrantar list on Digitalarkivet, or passangerlist for they who came into USA (ancestry.com).

Digitalarkivet have records of 1196 names that left Oslo in June 1881, headed for Hull, and sailing on the SS Angelo. Are you looking for any particular emigrant?
