Ole Jansen and Birte Simensdatter were married on the Horn farm July 2 1808, see 3rd record on left page
Birte (Berthe) Simensdatter was born Sept 17 1786, see #102 her parents were Simon Bentzen and Grete Hansdatter, Brevig.
Ole Jahnsen was born July 6 1789, see #74 his parents were Jahn Hansen and Tolline Ottersdatter, Horn.
Jahn Hansen was bapt March 2 1755, see last record on left page His parents were Hans Hansen and Birthe Olsdatter, Horn. (This Hans Hansen by the way was born 1720 and is one of my ancestors that I have tracked back to about 1600.)

Thank you both very much for this information - more ancestors to add to the tree and the resort looks like a wonderful place to dream of visiting on holiday!

The Horn,Lier and Ole Jansen information has helped solve a riddle with some of the information we had to go on from older family members who have since passed away that said that Randi's father was Jan Horn and the family was from Horn Leah...this must have been referring to her grandfather and Horn, Lier.

One thing I am still having difficulty with is finding Randi and Kristians first daughter Victoria's baptism record (should be May 1881) - I started looking in Domkirke where they were married and also GRØNLAND but can you confirm that this is near where Rødfyldgaden was? Through google I found a company website that suggested this location wasn't far from the Post GIRO building - presumably the area has been redeveloped since then.

Of course in the 8 years since they were married they may have moved. As mentioned above this Victoria died in London in 1886 but I can find no record of her being born there.

Hi eibache - just saw your other post from 27/7 on the 2nd page - how exciting to find we are related through a common ancestor!

The earliest I have come close to across all my family ancestral lines so far is just on the 1700's.

Once again I can't thank you enough for your time and effort with finding this valuable information - it means a great deal to me and I know the rest of my family will also be very appreciative. :-)
