Well it is Trueman and the contact only allows limited communication and Jackie has not replied yet. However, but a woman on Ancestry.com has 2 entries for a "jens Jensen", which is lowercase because she says she is uncertain about the 1st name. She has him born in both 1850 and 1854 and arriving in the early 1870's, she says she recalls stories from a long passed relative who says she vsited his "saloon"; whereas my Jensen was a shopkeeper (these two occupations are similar and may overlap!).
Well my genealogy friend sprang to spend $15 for the Cook County, Ill. Death Record, which found the Skagen secret, I had knowledge of this record but didn't realize that it would provide his parents birthplace...I assume the below was from a public Danish database, Jens father was Jens Christian Sorensen. 1855 census Name: Age: Marital status: Occupation in household: Occupation: Birth place: Jens Christian Sorensen 33 Gift mølleforpagter, husfader Skagen Karen Jensdatter 34 Gift hans kone Tornby Sogn, Hjørring Amt Anne Marie Jensen 7 Ugift deres datter Bindslev, Hjørring Amt Jens Jensen 4 Ugift deres søn Skagen Marie Jensen 2 Ugift deres datter Skagen Kjerstine Marie Knudsen 22 Ugift deres tjenestepige Asdal Sogn, Hjørring Amt Frederik Christian Pedersen 19 Ugift deres tjenestekarl Bindslev Sogn, Hjørring Amt Niels Petter Christensesen 18 Ugift deres tjenestekarl Thornby Sogn, Hjørring Amt Jacobine Eline Elisabeth Rasmussen 47 Enke købmandsenke, husmoderen Tvis Sogn, Hjørring Amt Julie Elise Jacobsen 11 Ugift hendes datter Skagen

well this got really off topic (trolls?) but the Galstad mtdna from biri i got analyzed 100%, all 16,400plus bases and it seems i have at least 11 TOTAL matches at FTDNA, one is an Iranian?, plus the others seem from the UK or Ireland...so, since I can take the line back to 1600 or so in Biri, maybe the mtdna came from slaving Irish women back in AD 1000?
