Hi,
your location are registered as Norway.

Where did your ancestors settle down? USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand

Kaurin Berg is likley Karin Berg and Joahanna could be Pettersen or Pettersdatter.

Bo is probably Bø. There are 4 municipalities named Bø in Norway.

In 1865 5 persons named Hans Baade lived in Norway, a shot in the dark, but one of them was Hans Baade from Bø in Nordland County, age 72 married to Lavine Isaksdatter, three children Anton 6, Amalie 4 and Ida 1.

Most likely your Hans Baade is the son of Petter Baade Hansen and Sidsel Villumsdatter, see 1865 census.
Anne Sofie Klausen may be Anne S. Clausdatter in the 1865 census.
Hans Petersen Baade is married in 1875.
(Anne) Sofie Klausdatter is still unmarried in 1875.

Good work Kåre,
I have noticed that the youngest child Anne Sofie Clausdatter brought with her, Matilde Martinusdtr., could have been Matilde Martinusen and that her father could be John Andreas Martinusen who is listed just above Anne Sofie. (Have not found any evidence so far.)
By the way, Kaurin was born April 3 not 4th.

Wonder where the Berg name comes from.

Kaurin was christened Kaurin Berg, her mother born on Hole July 10. 1855 bap Anne Sofie Clausdr. while her younger brother Kristian born on Hole June 20. 1858 was bap. Kristian Berg Clausen, see #65.

Kristian Clausen Berg emigrated to USA 1880 with a friend Mathias Nilsen from Bergen on a ship (unknown name) from the German shipping company Norddeutscher Lloyd, see down page.

Have you heard about Kristian Berg?
Could be Anne Sofie Clausdatter went to him first when she emigrated with the children 1889.
