I'm looking for my grandfather Ole Gunther Hagen, born June 7, 1870, in Laardal. He emigrated to Wisconsin when he was 16...so 1886 or 7, to Wisconsin. All I can find in the family bible is his father as Gunder Hagen and mother Kristi. He married in Wisconsin a Theo Olena Torgerson, born August 4 1877 in Clear Lake Wisconsin Her father was Bjurkef Torgerson, mother Bergit Thorsdatter, both from Norway. In the 1880 Wisconsin census Bjurkef was Berger Torgerson with 6 children; Tiger 19, margaret 15, betsy 13, all born in Norway; then Emma 8, Sophia 6, and Lena 2, born in Wisconsin, and by 1880 he was a widower. This census was for Polk county, township Clear Lake. Am I right to assume they came over here somewhere around 1867 to 1872?

Ole Gundersen Hagen was from a small subfarm Hagen, near Bandaksli on the southern shore of lake Bandak. He was born 7 June 1870, according to Skafså churchbook His parents were Gunder Aslaksen and Kristi Olsdatter, Hagen under Klauvreid. He confirmation was 28 June 1885 Skafså church book
In 1900 census his uncle has the farm Hagen, Mo parish. His father is probably the widower on Dalastøyl in Smørkleppgrend 10 km to north-west 1900 census Dalastøyl, Laardal

Bjørguf and Birgit are on Underberg in Mo parish in 1865 census Tarje (6) became Tiger in Wisconsin!

Tarje Bjørguvsen was born on Lie July 5. 1795, also his godparents are listed.

Thor Larsen was born Sept. 9. 1794 on Skaalen
His mother´s last name has changed to Hermodsdatter, only her wedding- or birth records could give us the name of her father.
Thor´s godparents are also listed.

When Tarje (Tiger) was born, see #37 Bjørguf and Birgit were "Brugsfolk i Mo".
When Margit was born, see #9 they were "Inderstfolk at Godtland".
Here Bjørguf, Birgit, Tarje and Margit is moving out from Mo - no Betsy born yet.

The birth record for Thor born 15 p Trin 1894 is on the right hand page here
Another Thor is here next to the last on the right hand page, he was born March 25 1796 and christened April 3. His mother was Birgithe Hermoesdatter.
The first Thor probably died although a death record has not been found.
Tone Tordsdatter was godfather for both.
