Source information: Oslo county, Aker, Parish register copy nr. 7 (1838-1846), Birth and baptism records 1845, page 328-329.
Permanent pagelink: http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=7695&idx_id=7695&uid=ny&idx_side=-170

need help with translation of baptism record. January 14 1845. I think it does not tell me really much more than his parents names. But hoping I can find their marriage record in same parish.

Thanks

David

Frederik Severin was born Dec 16 1844 and baptized Jan 14 1845. His parents were Peter Julius Iversen and Anne Katrine Frederiksdatter.

Thanks - scrolling thru now trying to find Peter Julius and Ann Katrine marriage record now. No luck yet. Peter was born in 1823 (you helped me translate that the other day!) How young did people marry in the 1840s?

I don't find a marriage record for them in this parish. Can you tell if he was legitimate or not?

Looks like they got married (ektevide) on January 14, 1845. Last entry on the right page.

Thankyou! I went the wrong way and looked back a few years. They got married the same day their son was baptized. I will know better next time :)

Are the names witnesses or parents? Trying to search for Ann Katherine baptism now.

A little bit of a challenge, but it says she had an attestation of March 22 1835 given by Schydtz and saying she was born Oct 10 and baptized i Slotskirken Dec 3 1820.
Father Fredrik Hal? and mother Gurine Jensdatter.
Her parents were still alive in 1865
Anne Kathrines baptismal record is #1 on right page.
Her parents were married April 25 1820, see #23
Fredrik was a musketeer and Gurine was 28 years old working for ?? Aas.

In the 1865 census it says Fredrik was from Lyner Prgj. Where is that?

#39 is a brother of Anne's. His parents were living with him in the 1865 census so I knew to look for him. Are there any other clues on their parents in here?

Having a difficult time locating the baptism record for Fredrik Torvald Fredriksen from above confirmation record. What am I doing wrong?

Frederik Thorwald is #1
Lyner prestegjeld, most likely Lunner prestegjeld.

I can't locate Lunner Prestegjeld. What county is it in?
