I can find Johan Arnesen b. 1839 Fredrikstad in the 1865 and 1875 census. He was married to Emilie Fossum b. 1843 Christiania.

I don't see children for them either?

I think they might have moved to USA but can not find ship records or census records to back that up.

Any ideas where to look for them?

David

You probably mean #58, and I thought we have looked at that record before, anyway he was born Aug 22 and baptized Dec 26, his parents were carpenter Johannes Arnesen and Karen Syversdatter i Byen (Billentons Gaard).
Godparents carpenter Frederik Arlum, wheelwright Frederik Arnesen, Gourene? Torp, Madme Ingeborg Billenton, Pigen Sophia Thillesen.

Yes sorry #58. We had his brother Carl Ludvig. I have been looking for other clues to narrow down where to look for his parents marriage or birth records. Hoping trying a different line here will lead me in the right direction.
