Don't skip the records for the other parish in Romedal --
Hedmark fylke, Vallset (Tomter) i Romedal, Klokkerbok nr. 13 (1896-1937), Fødte og døpte 1896, side 4.

Augustas birth record is #45, she was born out of wedlock, her mother was Lisabeth Olsdatter, Storfremmingeie (23) and Anders Jonasen, Hvasmyr, came from Arvika in Sweden.

Augusta was Andersdatter, not Kristiansdatter as in the 1900 census, see marriage record for Jørgen and Augusta
#13.

The child Hans was not the son of Augusta. He was born out of wedlock to Jørgen and Helga. Jørgen married Augusta a year later.
Hedmark fylke, Vallset (Tomter) i Romedal, Klokkerbok nr. 13 (1896-1937), Fødte og døpte 1896, side 4.
Helga is still unmarried in the 1900 Norwegian census.

Question, for Norwegian researchers. Was it common for a child born out of wedlock, to be given to the father to raise? I'm just curious. I'm guessing that the mother's financial condition would play into this.
