I'm looking for information on my grandmother Gudrun Hille (married Seyffarth). Her family name was once Gabrielsen, until they changed it to Hille (an island off Mandal). The family moved from Hille to Halshaug, Mandal. her father's name was Gabriel, mother was Petra. Brothers: Golman and Paul. Sisters: Henny and Alice.

Lori - You are a little short on identifying information to allow others to help you. Perhaps this little webpage will help you understand what information is important to include.

They had 5 children: Gudrun, henny, Alice, Paul, Golman and Wilhelm. Gudrun and Golman came to the US. I can't find information on when Golman came to US. I have been told that Paul was born in the US. Gabriel last name(Gudrun's father) was Gabrielsen but changed it to Hille at some point.

From where Jan Peter found her parents living in Oslo/Kristiania in the 1900 census it would be likely that her birth/baptismal record may be found in the parish records for Jakobs congregation in that city.
