Thank again, dodgeboy, I hope the Greene's are right. I wonder if Alfred and Syna got married in Norway. I have looked through some marriage
records in Vik but didn't find them as yet.

Since she emigrated in 1893, and was married in 1893, it sounds like it was a pre-arranged marriage.
- her prepaid ticket is more likely coming from her brother who emigrated 1 year earlier.

- the fact that the ticket for her emigration was prepaid supports this.

There is some uncertainty that the parents of her husband to be came from Vik in Sogn og Fjordane since Vik is about 100 miles from Aurskog.

Yes, I thought of that, and I am no certain about it but the names and dates are the closest to any others I have found, and some posts on ancestry seem to support it.

Synevas (Susans) parents, Johannes Johnsen and Alis Pedersdatter were married Sept 21 1828, see #20. Her father was then 30 years old, came from Føli and his father was John Eriksen. Synevas mother was 28 years old, came from Stadem and her father was Peder Monsen.

Alis Pedersdatter, her parents and siblings, in
1801.

Johannes Jonsen, his parents and siblings, in 1801
(his age given in the marriage record must be wrong)

Johanna has 2 more brothers, that are not included in the 1900 census. See BERNT, http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=6484&idx_id=6484&uid=ny&idx_side=-14

A Bernt Martinussen, born 1878 appears in the 1900 census living with: Bårbra Larsdatter
There is a Lars Marinussen, born 1880. He is probably related also.

Another brother born 27 June 1882, http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=3853&idx_id=3853&uid=ny&idx_side=-28Peter Olaus[/url

Thomas Martinusen was christened Peter Tomas, and Hanna was christened Anna Karoline.

I will let you find their personal records, okay?

Good suggestion, but widow Bårbra Larsdtr on farm Ulvestadhaug, Volda parish 1900, is Bernt and Lars Martinussen´s mother.

Probably Bernt Martinussen Klokk was in USA in 1900, he returned home on a visit "været hjemme paa besøg", citizen of Minnesota, occ. carpenter and returned to Minnesota Sept. 12. 1907 with his brother Peter Thomas Martinussen Klok, see here
