Here is a reference for MOMS: http://www.mncounty.com/Modules/Certificates/Marriage/Default.aspx

I don't think this site is 100% completed.

Wow, I went away for Thanksgiving dinner and came back to more new information! This is wonderful, and thank you all. Two days ago I only knew these people were from Norway, and now I know most of their life histories! Thank you again!

Could someone please help me decipher the father's name on the above? It is Sogn og Fjordane, Vik, 1821-1831,
#32, page 95. This, I believe is my Alfred Martin but I can't make out the surname of the father. Thanks again!

Hi,

In Nordmaendene i Amerika there is this, page 794:

Martin, Alfred; Borgerkrigsoldat: se 1ste Del., side 309

Martin, Alfred; Civil War soldier: see volume one, page 309

Unfortunately, I don't have the first volume, just the index volume.

And there is apparently someone else working the furrow on this Martin family:

Dianne: I believe this is the page you wanted: help on.
http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=11757&idx_id=11757&uid=ny&idx_side=-49

To cut and paste the http address from Digitalarkivet, you have to click on Image infrormation and select TOP or BOTTOM from the pull down menu.

Then HIGHTLIGHT OR SELECT the permanent pagelink image http address and copy it, for pasting to this web site, or wherever.

PS: Can somebody else help read the names.

Anfinds {Alfred} father was Mortin Ingebrigtsen baptised Jan. 27 1805. Would Martin come from Mortinsen?
