Here is his birth record.#134

The Widding name is not very common for me, so is there any other relative that could have emigrated before Harold? There is a Jens Widding, born 1882, immigrated to USA 1901, living in Kings, New york.

Hello Les and thanks for the help

I know when and where he was born and i know he went to NY where he died october 7th 1945.I also learned he was married to Asta Widding, she came problably from Kristiansand S ,Norway. She also got a sosial sec.number in the US, She died in 1989.They didnt get any children. The website that suggested he got a child, got wrong information or its not "my" harold

That Jens is NOT related to harold,i know harolds fathers name was Jan and his mothers name was Kristine Karoline Widding,1887/1889

With a lot of help,i found out what one can find -but thank you!

This looks like Asta in census-1910.

If you type in Asta's address on the Google map site, you can get a picture of the building. Type in: 672 56th St. Brooklyn, NY. Then click on the small picture on the left hand side.

Zoom out on the map, and a large cemetery will appear, called Green Wood. Could be where Harold and Asta are buried.
