A Haagine Andersd appears in 1801 census and appears to be living with grandparents on Hauer farm. My information says my Haagine was born in 1791. I have searched Asker parish records from 1789 to 1794 with no success. A birth record for one of the children attributed to her is on Page 86 birth and baptism records 1820 for Asker Akershus parish. If anyone has any help to offer in finding a birth record for Haagine I would appreciate it.

Perhaps its the grandparents, Xsten (Christen) age 66 and Live 67, Haagine Andersdatter age 8 is recorded as their daughter, but her father was Anders ??.
If its her grandparents, her father was perhaps Anders Xstensen (Christensen)

I read Haagine born out of wedlock on the Hauer farm, Sept 28 1792. Her father was serving in "Oberstltn Thomes 2nd Grenader Compagnie in Xtiania".
Her mother married to Anders Nielsen on Hauer in 1801, they were married May 28 1797, see 6th record 1797, right page.

Haagine married her husband Tollof Andersen May 15 1815. (No parents given in that record.)

Thanks all for the information. I thought the same, Kare, when I looked at the 1801 census record.

Following up on the replies that have been posted, the 1801 census showing anders nilsen and anne xensd makes sense to me. If Haagine is their dau, why was she listed with the grandparents as dau's dau instead of with the parents as their child? Also RE: the parish record on p 118, I have looked numerous times at that and just get the feeling I am looking at Gunder Andersen and Marie Larsd as parents and would appreciate some help in understanding the entirety of that record as I am admittedly weak at reading the full record.

Haagine is not their child, she was born before they married and Haagines father is Anders Xtensen (Christensen).

"The parish record on page 118" - you find two by the name of Haagine, yours is the next to the last one on the left page.

From your other posting
quote:
If I understand correctly, Haagine was fathered by Anders Christensen who went on to some other life and ultimately Anne married another Anders - Anders Nilsen and had other children - 3 that I see so far.
- if you refer to the 1801 census I only see two children
Ingeborg, her baptismal record is the 2nd on the right page, and
Maren Karine, her baptismal record is the 4th on the right page.

Thanks, Einar - I believe I have found two more - Nils born in 1803 and Andrine born in 1805. I am now looking for Anne Christensd's record and think I may have found it on page 251 of Asker 1733-1766 birth records - the first Anne on the left side. It seems to be close based on the info in the 1801 census. What do you think? I can't read most of the material other than the names so I do not know if there are location clues or such that would make it clear. Or does it not make sense because of the 1801 census listing Christen Hansen and Live Larsd as likely parents?

Yes Nils born Nov 4 1803, 4th record right page,
and Andrine born Dec 6 1805, 9th on the left page.

the first Anne on the left side
- sorry, her father was Christen Jensen, your Annes father should be Christen Hansen.

thanks for the marriage link - so you feel it is pretty conclusive that Christen and Live are Anne's parents because of the farm association in the 1801 census? I can't come up with a birth record for Anne yet other than the one with a different Christen. I will keep looking but it seems odd.
