Hello everyone ... It seems all of you were very busy these last two weeks!! I'm excited to look through all the links you have shown me.
I've been visiting with my son, and was taking some much needed down time. But I want all of you to know that I really appreciate your efforts in helping me find my great, great, great grandparents and their decendents!! Namely - Me !!

Thank you ... Pls let me know what I should do on my end to make sure this information is documented.
Pam

You can document your family history in any manner you might choose.

Some people gather paper records and pedigree charts, family group sheets, etc. These can be organized in files or notebooks or any paper storage media of your choice.
Currently most people use genealogy software and also keep digitized copies of important historical documents.
Others gather the information and plan on publishing a family history book or video.

You can do whatever you choose.

Options and advice for all of these possibilities can be studied in greater detail through the collection of genealogy related links at -
http://www.cyndislist.com/

Most public libraries also have books available on the subject.

I Oslo around 1900 there were two nail-factories;
O. Mustad & son in Lilleaker and Christiania Spigerverk in Nydalen, Aker.

Olaf Martin Amundsen´s occ. in 1900 was nail-cutter, he lived in Aker.
If he was employed by the Christiania Spigervek he perhaps worked on this nail-cut machine from 1854 (in use to ab. 1950) that now is on the Technical Museum.
There were a total of 5 mashines in Christiania Spigerverk, the macines in O.Mustad & son were of the same type.

More photos of Christiania Spigerverk further down.

A clearer picture of the nail-cut machine here
