Nevada is located in Story County Iowa. According to the Story County IAGenWeb website "Anna T. Egland" married Charles A. Anderson in that county on 26 Aug 1889.
http://iastory.com/marriage/MrgSearch.mvc

Searching for Andersons in that heavily Scandinavian part of the US will be quite challenging.

There are at least five Family Trees on Ancestry.com for the family of Harold E Anderson and Laura McBride. Most of the owners of these trees seem to mostly involve the McBride side of the Family Tree but do have information on the children of Harold and Laura. You will need to find someone or a library with a subscription to Ancestry.com to access the.

I have a long forgotten ancester, captain Peter Rove Jensen born in Denmark 1829 and with the only
name of Rove from 1905. The name Rove are supposed to be english and could then have been spelled Rowe. The story I heard is that it came from an english Consul in Norway? Does this ring a bell anywhere? Susanne

Susanne,
I believe Rove is a Norwegian name, but you will have to start a new topic. Put the name of the person as topic heading. Then list all the facts that you do have on this person. Such as birthdate, family members, death date, etc... After that, you can add the information/stories that have been past on to you.

Good luck! Wanda

Hi.
No hit of a Rove consul in Norway.
There were 20 persons with lastname Rove in Norway 1865.
On Rove farms in Vestfold and Nord-Trøndelag Counties same year there were 88 people.

Norwegian American Alois Rove, his grandfather was Norwegian consul in Milwauke.
