Hi,

Have you looked into English records for the family? There are the English censuses for 1841 and 1851 and several other years available at www.familysearch.org

In the Norway Baptisms database at the same site above, there are 15 Albert (with any combination of name including Albert) Hansons born in 1820s but none appear to be in Stavanger parishes, only one on west coast from Bergen. The database may not be comprehensive enough to say that it includes every Albert in Norway.

A couple with that name married in Sør-Fron April. 28. 1829, Hans Hansen was from Kjørstadmoen and Mari Arnesdatter from Flaten, left page #3

Sør-Fron is fare from Stavanger

Hi,

Hmmm.

If she is Mari Arnison / Arnisdatter where did she pick a Hans Baltzerson as a father? But the ages in the marriage record are about right to fit the approximate birth years.

There are only 4 Hans Baltzerson in the 1801 census, all aged between 17 and 29. The 29 year old is still single living in Sandsvaer in Buskerud.

- I read Maris name as Amundsdatter!

Hans Hansen from Kjørstadmoen was baptized April 7 1805, see 3rd from bottom of right page.

I also read it as Amundsdatter Einar.

I just translated exactly from LDS records.
I think because of a wrong translation there the Sør-Fron record has to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Where is the Stavanger info coming from Lionel?

If the Albert Edward Hanson born 1826, married to Sarah Susannah Jones Dec 20 1852, died Sept 10 1875 in Victoria Australia, it is most likely that he was a Swede.
Sarah Jones was born 1829 and died 1871 Stanley Tasmania Australia.

Here is a potential Albert Hanson immigration record. Oddly enough he is travelling alone. No wife, no children. But he does list his country of origin as Norway.

This is a stretch but I could not find an Albert Hanson in the 1851 Census but I did find a John Hanson (spelled Hanston by the transcriber but I think incorrectly) living in the same borough as Sarah Jones. Place of birth is listed as Norway.

Name: John Hanston
Age: 25
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1826
Relation: Lodger
Gender: M (Male)
Where born: Norway
Civil parish: St George in The East
County/Island: Middlesex
Country: England
Registration district: St George In The East
