Here is some informations about my Norwegian Ancestors from my Father and also Mothers Line a person called Knud Olesen Ellingsgaard and his Father hire Farmer in Vestnes Tresford in Romsdalsford in Norway but ended as a blind gate for me. Others are the Mother of my Grandfather Johannes Ellingsgaard called Dorthea Olesen and via our Legende and Sea Hero Magnus Hejneson who Father led shipwreak in The Faroe Islands and learn to Prest and worked as Prest first in Nes Faroes later go to Norway and died there with another wife who was Mother of Magnus Hejneson. I mean his line also to a person called Aril Snorre Edvardsen the leader of the christian center in Sarons Dal in Norway who Ancestors was Anton /Joseph from The Manor of Kogulovsko in Schlesien the part of Polen now. Do you konown somethings about this my very important issue. Who is my Jewish Ancestors also ,but how it was is a Mystery.Of course.![]() |

| There is a Danish published book which contains a great deal of information about the family lines of Magnus Hejneson (1545-1589). The book was authored by Chr. Heilskov and is entitled "Af den Heinesenske slægts saga: med en indledning om Færøsk personalhistorie" (published København: Trykt Hos J. H.Schultz A/S, 1916) |

That happend 26 October 1822 and died on 30 August 1907 married Maren Thomasdatter born in 1824. Knud father was Ole Knudsen hire Farmer near by Ørskogfjellet the Passover from Tresford to Vestnes County the position for the Farm called Ellingsgaard. The worker came accross the Sea over to Vestnes from the city called Molde in Norway.
Yours Census are from Bolsø Prest County and thank you for that you kindness in this case. What about Anton and his brother or Father Joseph are around the First World War he is montined I think. He married a Norwegian girl in Norway later. Maybe involved in War Sabotage against the German War Machine in Norway. So it a litle bit dangerose with the Informations there from in Norway. Hello Føroyar.
A challenge to find Knud Olsens father Ole Knudsen Ellingsgaard.
In the 1801 census for Ellingsgaard, Tresfjord in Romsdal, he was not on Ellingsgaard (Perhaps he was born later?)
More likely on another farm.
Guess this is the familyn on Faroe Islands.
Knud Olsen born Oct. 26. 1822 on Eide in Eysturoyar, Færøyene.
Parents Ole Knudsen(Ellingsgaard) and Elisabeth Malene Joensdatter.
Knud Olsen married Elisabeth Thomasdatter in Eysturoyar 1848, Link

Hi,
There are 4 databases of Eystoroyar pastoral events at the Norwegian Digital archives. The dates are 1730s to approximately 1809, probably too early to help much with this question. But where did the clue pointing to Ellingsgaard in Norway come from?

On the family tree Kåre referred to it says Ole Knudsen (1781 - 1847) was born April 13 in Eiði, í Garði, Faroe Islands. If so it is not likely to find him in Norway.

| Here in Ejde some people called only Knud Olesen Ellingsgaard for The Soldier from Norway and not a Farmer as his Father Ole Knudsen was. Maybe his surname shall be Amundsen instead as you tell me here on Norway-Heritage.com |

Hi Magnus.
The church redords for Faroe Islands in the 1800s is identical with the Norwegian church books.
Ellingsgaard, former Ytter Siersett, is mentioned in Bolsøyboka from 1948 on page 407.
It also refers to farm Sigerset and Mjelve, Link, no info. reg Ole Knudsen on Ellingsgaard.
Ole Knudsen (b. 1780-90?) came to Faroe Islands before 1822 where he married Elsebeth Malene Joensdatter.
From LDS records: Elsebeth Malene Joensdatter christened dec. 5. 1788 on Sudurstreymoyar.
Parents;
Joen Magnusen and Zigge Joensdatter.
Source; Maureen (Ellingsgaard) Keaveny, USA.

| I think it is best to let you search for me in Local Norway places about Ole Knudsen and his origin in Norway. I am not local in Norway you known so I am still awaiting after yours Result for his Family Tree there. In conection to Aril Snorre Edvardsen and others people in Norway. Of course. |

Hi.
Are you sure Ole Knudsen Ellingsgaard was born in Norway?
Perhaps it was his father Knud Olsen Ellingsgaard b. ca 1744?
Knud Olesen Ellinggaard, husmand, age 88 died on Faroe Islands Mai 22. 1826, see 3. from bottom here
1801 census for Eystoroyar, Faroe Islands.
Knud Olsen 57 married to Elsebeth Olesdatter 41, a son Knud Olesen 21 and three daughters, Gurend Christine 12, Elsebeth 9 and Sophia Fredricha 6, right page #19 page 3
It seems like the Faroe Islands links will not open.

| Hallo, again. I have had hear that Ole Knudsen was born in one place in Norway but where I dont known yet. Because it is difficult to trace him further back also because the most of his Family was going to USA or America where they are living today,of course. Only some was let back in Norway so you can know it is difficult to find out. Also because he was only montined as a Hire Farmer only in Norway and maybe came from another place then Vestnes in Norway. |
