"Johannes Egil E" = Egil Johannes Havlykke from Denmark, arriving New York May 4th, 1921.
Egil Johannes Grønner b. 24.06.1903 died 02.06.1998

So none are good candidates for Egil J. Johansen...

The baptismal record for Marry Mathilde is #88, and for Aksel Marius #10.

Axel Martin Olsen was most likely born Febr 21 1879 (not Febr 2 as said in the 1910 census). His baptismal record is #16 and his parents were Laurits Olsen and Hanna Olsdatter.

Egil Jentoft Johansen is a very likely candidate. His parents Johan Adolv Johansen and Sofie Anna Marie Andersdatter were married Jan 1 1901, see #2. This was Johan Adolfs 2nd marriage.

Johan Adolvs first wife was Olianna Zahl Andersdatter, the mother of his son Reidar #9. They were married Oct 11 1894, see #12. Johan Adolvs father was Johan A Iversen, Myklebostad.

The 2nd child listed in the 1910 census, Olga was the daughter of Sofie Anna Marie Andersdatter (his second wife) Olga Sal was born out of wedlock, see #22. Note that Adolf Johansen gave the info about this "leiermaal".
In the 1900 census Sofie is a servant and Johan Adolv is a widower, 1900.

Very Interesting. If all goes well here is the list at www.ellisisland.org:
www.ellisisland.org/search/shipManifest.asp?MID=05488120970901904960&pID=100204060171&lookup=100204060171&show=%5C%5C192%2E168%2E100%2E11%5Cimages%5CT715%2D2982%5CT715%2D29820457%2ETIF&origFN=%5C%5C192%2E168%2E100%2E11%5CIMAGES%5CT715%2D2982%5CT715%2D29820456%2ETIF" target="_blank">http://www.ellisisland.org/search/shipManifest.asp?MID=05488120970901904960&pID=100204060171&lookup=100204060171&show=%5C%5C192%2E168%2E100%2E11%5Cimages%5CT715%2D2982%5CT715%2D29820457%2ETIF&origFN=%5C%5C192%2E168%2E100%2E11%5CIMAGES%5CT715%2D2982%5CT715%2D29820456%2ETIF
The ship departed from Port Arthur, Texas, and had only 1 passenger a man from Larvig, Norway. The original sheet is torn and that's why there is no last name. Egil was a "messman" and his home is given as "Brooklyn, N.Y." There is also an Erling _____son same info as Egil.
Egil is not in the Ellis Island index, I suppose because you must have a last name and his entry doesn't. Curiouser & Curiouser

There are about 10 listing similar to this one for Erling L Johansen a crewman on various ships in Ancestry.com. Two issues would be his middle initial of L not S and his birth year is consistently listed as 1912.

Birth Year: abt 1912
