I am trying to find information on a relative named Eilert Kristoffer Olsen. I believe he lived on the Togstad farm in the Verdal region of Norway.

All of his descendants took the Togstad name in America.

He never came to America and wife came to America as a widow and she died in 1912.

I would like to find out what happened to him if possible. The only other information that I have is that he was born in 1837.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Tim

Could this be Eilert, his wife and two daughters in 1865?

Elen Anna was born out of wedlock, see top record.

Gurianna seem to have died just one year old, see #74.

He seems to have the following children after 1866:
Ole, born Sep 1 1867,
Odin born Nov 12 1876 and
Paul Anton born Apr 1 1883

Yes! That must be them.

His wife was named Beret and they had children born in those years by those names.

Is it possible to find them in a later census and to find out when/where he died?

I believe you have to be satisfied with cause of death, again see above.

One of Eilert and Beret's daughters's was named Marie. She was born in 1879. Is it possible to find her in a census or at least find when she emigrated to America?
