She was born Dec 14 1871 and baptized Febr 11 1872.
Her parents were sailor Johan Andersen, Bogen 26 years and 8 months old, and Maren Torine Svendsdatter 26 years 6 months old.

They were:
Oluf Johansen, Svend Nilsen, Syvert Iversen, the mother and Karen ?.
Possibly Oluf Johansen in 1875, could his wife be Maren Torines sister?
She was, see #99.

I think you're right about Maren's sister being Marthe. I believe Maren's mother's name was Karen Torstensdr. I think the Nilsen side came from father Johan who's mother was Jacobine Caroline Nilsdatter b.1824. She married Anders Johnson b. 1818. That's as far as I've gotten.
Thank You again...

The "father Johan" was actually baptized Johan Anton, see #3 from bottom of page.

- Maren and Marthes mother was Karen Torstensdatter, confirmed by the baptismal records.

Baptismal record shows that Jacobine Carolines father was Niels Nielsen. Whether the Svend Nilsen being a witness is related to Niels Nielsen has to be proven.

I know that Jacobine Caroline came to US and lived with Johan's sister Karen. I don't know what happened to his father Anders Johnson. I'm assuming he died prior to her leaving. US census list her as Jacobine C. Johnson and then her obituary and headstone list her a Karen Anderson. Is that a common practice to change from Caroline to Karen? I have another ancestor that was born Karen and changed to Carrie.

Did you know that Johan Andersen and Maren Svendsdatter had a son, Carl Hjalmar, Oct 30 1869? - see #92.

Is the obituary and headstone for Karen Anderson really for Jacobine Caroline Nielsen? Seems more like Johans sister by the name.

When did Jacobine Caroline come to USA?

Yes and if I'm right, he died Jan. 28, 1871 but not sure of what.

Regarding Jacobine. I found her obituary stating she lived with her daughter Karen and was survived by her son John and granddaughter Thinka. and was born April 14, 1823. LDS records show 1824. She is buried next to Johan. I looked up her death record at the county courthouse where she died Dec. 25, 1908 and it was signed by John Anderson and listed her parents as Nils Nielson Krageroe and Karen Knutsdatter so that seemed to match. I found also the children of her and Anders Johnson as Johan, Andrea b. 1849, Nils b. 1852 and Karen Nicoline b 1854. Karen's obituary states her birth as Oct. 11, 1853. It also says she came to US at the age of 20 and was born Karen Johnson in Svelvig Norway . The only thing I found close to that was a passenger record of Sept. 6, 1973 with two passengers together: Jacobine C. Nielson age 48 and Karen Andresson age 39 ( maybe supposed to be 19). It was mystery for along time until I looked at her death record.

I only know that Andrea (Ann) still lived in Norway but came to visit in the 1920's of which I have her picture. I don't know who she married but only that she may have had a son Henri. Don't have anything on Nils. One thing I don't understand is that the marriage on Jacobine and Anders according to Family Search say March 8, 1848. Johan was born in 1847, could that be right?

I hope I have researched in the right direction and have my facts straight.

The LDS record of the marriage for Johan Anton's parents refers directly to the original handwritten record as found in the Norwegian parish church records. It is an extracted record - not a contribution of information without clear source citation.

The original handwritten record of Johan Anton's birth and baptism in the church books of Hurum, Buskerud clearly record him as being born out of wedlock. The Ministerialbok is clear, the Klokkerbok is far more difficult to read. The legitimacy status of any child was not among the pieces of information collected when the record was extracted from the original by the LDS volunteer and put into database form.

Always look at the originals.

What is the Ministerialbok and the Klokkerbok? Very interesting. Was being born out of wedlock back then unusual?

Jacobine Carolines baptismal record is top record on right page.
She was born out of wedlock, her father was Niels Nielsen from Kragerø, he was a sailor in Strømmen (Svelvik). The mother was 1 mates widow Karen Aniken Knudsdatter.
There were 8 witnesses at the baptism!

- the marriage record is #29 date given March 8 1848.

Johan Anton was born out of wedlock, but since he was baptized the same day as the parents were married, he is not recorded as an illegitimate child.

This is wonderful. Thank You so much. Does this mean that Anders Johnson's father's name was John Ander?son. No name of Ander's mother? What does this mean? " The mother was 1 mates widow Karen Aniken Knudsdatter." I guess that's pretty unusual to have 8 witness. Perhaps he was someone rather important in the community?
