Hi,

I suppose it's possible to be a father at 14 - not very common though but possibly we should keep an open mind at the moment as to Georgine's father

Thanks for the hekp

Carol

Norwegian women are far too sensible to get mixed up with a wet-behind-the-ears adolescent! Twenty-four much more probable!

Reg. Georgine Nilsdatter Parelius.

Born in Bakklandet 1838, bap. in Bakke church.

Nov. 30. 1862 she came to Aasen (Ċsen) in Frosta from Stjĝrdal

Worth a try.
Her mother was Gjertrud Johnsdatter.

The confirmation record for Niels Rosing Parelius 1829 gives his baptismal date Oct 16 1813, see #1.
His younger brother Morten was confirmed the same day.

The confirmation info was wrong, date given for the baptism was his birth date. The baptismal record for Niels Rosing is dated Dec 30 1813, see last record in 1813, right page. Niels Rosings parents were Mr. Rasmus Parelius and Madm. Maren Parelius.

TRANSLATION

I am trying to compile a genealogy dictionary of Norwegian Terms to make it a bit easier to search. I think I have found some but there are others I can't find. Can anyone help with the following words. (where I think I've found the translation I have put it in capitals next to the norwegian word.

I have no idea what pigs etc., and grain and peas etc., have to do with geneaology but these terms come up on the Digitalarkivet

Thanks

Carol

I have been searching all over - arkivverket - slekt and numerous other geneaology sites for any details on Jon Olson and/or his parents (and other ancestors) or siblings or details of theiir children Olaf Gerhard, Helga, Magda and Hanna. I have had help from this site so I do have names but can't seem to find any other information . I'd be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction
