Ingeborg Dahl Jacobson was born in Ørland, Norway in 1863. In about 1869 she and her parents went to Minnesota were they lived all their lives.

Ingeborg was married in 1886 to Christopher Larson Sather b. 1852, and I am trying to find all their children.

They lived in Yellow Medicine county, MN, and from the 1910 census (name written Christ L. Sarther and Sogeborg) I see that they have 4 children : Amelia (22), Emma (20), Lena (18) and Julia (13). Chris died in 1924 and Ingeborg in 1927.

Did they have any more children ? I can´t find them in the 1900 census or earlier.

Just a comment about ancestral trees posted on ancestry.com:

Unfortunately, many trees are just copied from other persons' gedcoms. Although they might lead you to "clues," many of the trees contain error after error, because submitters have failed to do their own genealogical research.

For example, concerning Melia Sather (who we know was born in Minnesota and married in Minnesota, and probably died in Canada), of the 7 posted trees under her name, 3 have her born in Canada; and the other 4 don't give a birth location, but have her marrying in Hughenden, Alberta, Canada! So all 7 of Melia's trees at ancestry.com are incorrect.

It's always best to do your own research and include/record your sources.

Personal genealogy focus: Goodhue County, Minnesota and the Norway kommunes of Lrdal; Aurland and Vang in Valdres.

HI, I am Amila and Andrew Sathers Great gand daughter.
I knew Amila as she was still alive when i was young. She lived past her 99th birthday. ( I have pics of all us together at her 99th birthday. Andrew passed before I was born.
They retired in Hughenden Alberta on the second farm they owned in Canada,
I was raised on the orriginal "Home Place" that she and Andrew homsteaded and built. A 1200 acre cattle ranch at Czar Ab Canada. The original house Andrew built in 1910 is still standing there and is inhabited.
They had 6 children. Clifford, Jullian ( my grandfather) Elna, Alice, Morris, and Norma.
Lars Sather worked and stayed at Andrew and Amilas ranch at Czar. He then bought a property of his own near by for his family.
I have alot of info on the family even the original bible that came from Norway with them. I would be happy to answer any questions I can about this side of the family. :)

Also I forgot Ameila ( Meila) was born in Minnesota USA. She was not born in Canada or Norway. Andrew was born in Norway and came to Minnesota at the age of 14. He started work on the railroad at the age of 15 I belive and became section boss at a very young age. That is how he and Amelia were able to move to Canada. Andrew went first then sent for Ameila after. They did not marry untill they both arrived in Canada.
