Wonder if anyone has experience with this organization. Some family members were married in their facility at 8 State Street, Manhattan, in 1906. This hostel, also called the Lutheran Pilgrim House, was evidently located to serve emigrants arriving on a ferry from Ellis Island. A clergyman, E. Petersen, was superintendent.
I am hoping they might have kept parish records of marriages, of the type kept by Norwegian Lutheran churches. |

Sorry don't know anything about the records of the place but the super was Emil Johan Petersen b 1854 Rønne, Bornholm, Denmark, was ordained in Norske (Lutheran) synode 1879. He served as "immigrantmissionær" in New York City from 1889 to at least 1915, according to Norsk Lutherske Prester i Amerika 1843-1915. |

The church records of the Norwegian Seaman's mission in New York are online in the scanned parish books at the Digitalarkivet website. Years included are 1878-1935. |
