My grandparents emigrated in 1907 from Bergen to Washington state. They sailed on a ship of the Canadian Pacific line to eastern Canada, then traveled -- I assume by Canadian Pacific train -- to Vancouver, BC. Their passenger list entry includes a stamp: "Continental bonus allowed". Anyone know what this means?
