At www.familysearch.org, looking in the 1900 US census for only Oregon and Washington for Carl Olson b 1867 Norway, found none but when opened up to Olson as last name no first name found this John Olson b. Apr 1867 Norway migrated in 1891 occupied as a fisherman, single:

Of course this could just be a coincidence of a very common surname...

An interesting Ole Olsen born in Årstad, Bergen.
Årstad was a subparish under St. Jørgens Hospital, Bergen, until ca 1880.
Karl Johan Olsen (Fyllingen)
Fyllingen is a population centre in Bergen. He was born in Årstad and lived in Årstad

Info in the em. record from Bergen tells he em. 1884, returned Mai 1890 and em. again August 1890, "ug" unmarried.
