I have been searching-in vain- for the last of my great grandmothers siblings; agnete olsdatter, born in nes, hedmark, Norway, on 28 August 1863. She left Norway in 1885 with a ticket for Chicago, and arrived in New York on the Oregon on 23 November 1885. She was daughter of ole Anderson from jarnskogsbygden, eda, Sweden, and Karen kristiansdatter from nes, hedmark Norway. Three of her siblings also emigrated to the us, and I have good control over them; youngest brothers Hans Hansen berg and Martin bjornstad ended up in Dane county, Wisconsin, and oldest brother Andrew Christiansen lived in Chicago from 1880-1885, then in Hendricks/Hansonville, mn between 1885 and 1908 and then in Mille lacs county, mn from 1908 until he died in 1925. Since agnete left with a ticket for Chicago, I suspect her first stop in America was a brother andrew's, but I have no sign of her beyond her arrival in New York. Can anyone help? I have some unidentified photos from Cooperstown, nd, which may or may not be related to her.

If the pictures are labelled as Cooperstown, N.D. then they will date after 2 Nov 1889.

What farms did Agnete live on?

Sorry to report but I've looked at about 30 prospective Agnette/Agnethe/Agnete mostly generated from census search at familysearch.org and HeritageQuest but found something to eliminate from consideration about each except this one. Basically, I was unable to find her in census reports to pick up age or migration date information. This is from Wisconsin Births and Christenings 1826-1926 database at familysearch.org:

name: Oskur Melvin Anderson
gender: Male
christening date:
christening place:
birth date: 20 Jan 1900
birthplace: Pigeon, Trempealeau, WI
death date:
name note:
race: White
father's name: Oluf Anderson
father's birthplace: Wi
father's age:
mother's name: Agnette Olson mother's birthplace: Norway
mother's age:
indexing project (batch) number: C00329-5
system origin: Wisconsin-EASy
gs film number: 1305596
reference id: CN 00125
