I am "hunting" for my maternal grandmother's uncle Kristian Olsen, who was born February 28, 1879, in Bagn in South Aurdal, Oppland county. His parents were Ole Olsen Spangerud and Barbro Knutsdaughter. Kristian's confirmation took place May 28, 1893, at the same place that he was born. In the book about the county (South Aurdal), the text says that he left for the US - and that's all. I can't find him in the censuses of 1900 or 1910, so he must have left between 1893 and 1900. Could you please help me in looking for him?

This is probably the Kristian Olsen leaving in 1904 destined for his brother-in-law Amund Rustbakke.

Thank you so very much for the information you have found for me! I appreciate that very much. It was rather fun, really, that Kristian went to Grand Forks in ND, because his first cousing Marie Gustavsen lived there all her adult life with her husband Severin Gustavsen. And JKMarlow: you have really helped also in finding the couple. Anyway: I don't know if Kristian had a sister named "Line". By the way: is it possible for you to find any marriage(s) and death for him - and an address?

| Oline was not Kristian's sister - their parents were not the same. Kristian's parents were Ole Olsen and Barbro Knutsdaughter. |

| One of the Kristians you have found, was Oline's brother. But he was not MY Kristian - so there are possibly two different ones. |
